This is one small village where Lord Caitanya may have visited. It is said in Caitanya Caritamrita that when Caitanya Mahaprabhu traveled to South India, on the way he reached Kolhapur. There he took darshan of Mahalaxmi & then from Kolhapur to Pandharpur he traveled ahead. So on the way of Kolhapur to Pandharpur, Aravade & Gourgaon villages are located. So our dear Gurumaharaj always strongly say that Caitanya Mahaprabhu might have traveled from this area. All the devotees from this local area also strongly believe. We have also strong experience that only in this village there is lot of response for our ISKCON movement. People are very easily accepting Krishna Consciousness here.

Since 3 years we are doing Annual Festival in this village in which all villagers use to participate whole heartily. Now more than 30 boys are chanting Hare Krishna Mahamantra. Also doing morning & evening programs in village centre.

This year we celebrated Annual Festival on 5th April. More than 2500 people attended this program. 3000 people took Mahaprasad. More than 100 books have sold. There was nice Nagar sankirtan done in which many people had participated. Then Lecture, Sankirtan, Drama programs has very enthusiastically done. Now 100 boys are going to attend our small yatra in nearby place called Narsimhapur.
